Softball Recap: Queen Creek Bulldogs vs. Desert Mountain Wolves
Queen Creek had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 8-2 to the Desert Mountain Wolves. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.
Queen Creek got a good showing from Brooke Curtis, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, Emma Reynolds made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
Coincidentally, Queen Creek and Desert Mountain will both be playing Red Mountain the next time they take the field. Desert Mountain will head out to face Red Mountain at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, while Queen Creek will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
