Edison had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-61 victory over the Bixby Spartans. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 56-46 win the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2015.

The victory got Edison back to even at 8-8. As for Bixby, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Edison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-46 loss against Memorial on the 24th. As for Bixby, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-72 defeat against Muskogee on the 24th.
