Basketball Recap: Mason Toole's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Winter Haven Christian over Real Life Christian Academy

Winter Haven Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The game between them and the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors didn't end well, with the Winter Haven Christian Warriors falling 68-51. The Warriors lost against the Raptors in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 89-42 score last time.

Winter Haven Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mason Toole, who posted 13 points. Toole has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Joshua Granger was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.

Winter Haven Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Real Life Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Winter Haven Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Geneva Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Winter Haven Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they will square off against Winter Haven Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
