Basketball Recap: Harrisonburg Bulldogs vs. Avoyelles Charter Vikings
The Harrisonburg Bulldogs struggled with assists on Monday (the Avoyelles Charter Vikings had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Harrisonburg was dealt a 67-20 defeat at the hands of the Vikings. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harrisonburg in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost eight in a row.
Leading Avoyelles Charter to victory were Armonii Benjamin and Jalen Brown. Benjamin scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Brown scored 16 points along with seven steals. Benjamin is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Kaileb Barr, who scored seven points.
Harrisonburg now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Avoyelles Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Louisiana (Grace Christian is ranked 363rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 351st). Rapides is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
