            Baseball Recap: Hampton County Hurricanes vs. Battery Creek Dolphins        
        
		
        
        
            While Hampton County's  victory against Battery Creek wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hurricanes had just enough and edged out the Dolphins  7-6 on Tuesday. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Dolphins recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 Chris Terry was a  major factor no matter where he played. He  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases and three  runs. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March.

 Terry wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Emerson Jarrell, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run. Hampton County is 2-1 when  Jarrell posts two or  more  stolen bases, but 4-9 otherwise.  Owen Shaffer was another,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
Hampton County's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Battery Creek, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record  this season.
 Hampton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Battery Creek, they will square off against Lowcountry Leadership at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
