Westview had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging an 87-46 victory over the Columbus Discoverers. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Westview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Amir Martin out in front who went 6 for 10 to rack up 17 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Tayvin Zephier-Murphy, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Westview was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Columbus only racked up eight assists.

Columbus' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quinn Freshour, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxson Vasicek, who had nine points and six boards.

Westview's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.3 points over those games. As for Columbus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Westview will welcome Millard North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbus, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-60 defeat against Benson on the 8th.
