Basketball Recap: Columbia River Beats Woodland for Their 11th Straight Victory

Columbia River had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 42-41 victory over the Woodland Beavers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rapids also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Columbia River's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Woodland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

Columbia River and Woodland should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Columbia River will challenge Washougal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday up 165 places (67 vs. 232). Similarly, Woodland (ranked 97th) will meet Ridgefield (ranked 218th) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
