Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Cece Johns and Addy Files Lead Conifer to Victory + How To Watch

Conifer had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Wheat Ridge Farmers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lobos also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Conifer was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 25-7.

Conifer was led to victory by Addy Files and Cece Johns. Files had ten aces and four digs, while Johns had five digs and four aces. Those ten aces gave Files a new career-high. Katelin Dean also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Conifer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

Conifer's record now sits at 11-3. As for Wheat Ridge, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

Conifer has already played their next contest (against Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wheat Ridge, they will head out to square off against Standley Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
