Football Recap: Thornridge Comes Up Short

Thornridge fell victim to Thornwood and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 64-0 loss at the hands of the Thunderbirds. The Falcons have struggled against the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Christan Gladney threw for 37 yards. Tristan Clark was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards.

Malik Clark had an outrageously good game for Thornwood as he rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Clark a new career-high. Zion Walker made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Thornridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Thornwood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

Thornridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thornwood, they will square off against Normal West at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Thunderbirds will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
