Soccer Recap: Novi Comes Up Short

Novi lost against Brighton back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Novi can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Brighton are ranked 23rd).

Novi now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Brighton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Novi will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Plymouth at 7:00 p.m. As for Brighton, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against DeWitt on the 19th.
