Basketball Recap: DeForest Takes a Loss

DeForest lost against Oregon back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The DeForest Norskies were dealt a 67-36 defeat at the hands of the Oregon Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Norskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Panthers are ranked 24th).

DeForest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Oregon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DeForest will square off against Watertown at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oregon, they will venture away from home to square off against Fort Atkinson at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
