Baseball Recap: Locust Fork Takes a Loss

Locust Fork entered their game against Pennington on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Locust Fork Hornets lost 16-0 to the Pennington Tigers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Hornets were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Locust Fork and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Pennington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Locust Fork will square off against Cleveland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Locust Fork is facing Cleveland at the right time seeing as Cleveland is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pennington, they will challenge Dora at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pennington is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
