Ephrata and Enumclaw squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ephrata had to settle for second. They fell 10-7 to the Enumclaw Hornets. Ephrata just can't catch a break and has now endured four defeats in a row.
Peyton Trautman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Auddy Gray, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.
On Enumclaw's side, they got a massive performance out of Natalie Otero, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Neal, who went 2-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, and a double.
Ephrata's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9. As for Enumclaw, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-9 record this season.
