Softball Recap: Lower Moreland Takes a Loss

Lower Moreland lost against William Tennent back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions came up short against the Panthers, falling 21-3. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Molly Weber was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Hailey Lazauskas also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Lower Moreland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for William Tennent, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lower Moreland will square off against Plumstead Christian at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Lower Moreland's pitchers better be ready for this one: Plumstead Christian has averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for William Tennent, they will face off against Central Bucks East at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
