Baseball Recap: Greeley Central Comes Up Short

Greeley Central managed to slip by Platte Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 16-5 to the Broncos on Thursday. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Greeley Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Partida, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Maurillo Perez was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Greeley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Platte Valley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Greeley Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 loss against Valley on the 1st. As for Platte Valley, they have also already played their next match, a 10-2 victory against Estes Park on the 28th.
