Sunset put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Sandy Pioneers with a sharp 7-1 victory. Considering the Apollos have won three games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sydney Arnold spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jordan Pe?a was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Kaia McKenna, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Pe?a wasn't the only one making solid contact: Sunset kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Sunset's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Sandy, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Sunset didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 victory against Roosevelt on the 25th. As for Sandy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against Corvallis on the 25th.
