Houghton Lake took a 18-run loss the last time they faced off against Lake City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Trojans 11-10. The win was some much needed relief for the Bobcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Houghton Lake's victory bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Lake City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-1 record this season.

Houghton Lake will challenge Roscommon at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bucks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.36 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. Lake City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
