Valley Vista's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Tolleson Wolverines by a score of 64-55. The victory continues a trend for the Monsoon in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won nine in a row.

Tolleson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mikey Dauphin, who posted 14 points and five boards. Nuul Deng was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Valley Vista's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-16. As for Tolleson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Valley Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-54 loss against Shadow Ridge on the 31st. As for Tolleson, they have also already played their next game, a 44-38 defeat against West Point on the 31st.
