Trinity Christian dropped down to 7-5 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 58-51 to the George Walton Academy Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 123rd).

As for George Walton Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. While they didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead George Walton Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adrian Thomas, who shot 73% from the field en route to 18 points and five boards. The contest was Thomas' third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Wells, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Looking ahead, Trinity Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Stratford Academy at 1:30 p.m. on the 29th. George Walton Academy and Monsignor Donovan Catholic will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
