The Medford Raiders will face off against the Antigo Red Robins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Medford sitting on three straight victories and Antigo on six.
Medford came out on top against Tomahawk on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run first inning. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Hatchets. Considering the Raiders have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Rylee Hraby made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had over her last nine contests.
In other batting news, Chelsea Gebauer was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Grace Schmidtfanz, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Medford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tomahawk only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Antigo was able to grind out a solid win over Lakeland on Tuesday, taking the game 6-2.
Bethany Lewis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Ava Cornelious was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Antigo's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Medford, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
Antigo's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Medford hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. It's a different story for Antigo, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Medford's hitters?
Everything went Medford's way against Antigo when the teams last played back in April, as Medford made off with a 10-2 win. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Robins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
