The Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Lincolnton Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pinnacle Classical Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Lincolnton will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Pinnacle Classical Academy extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy. Considering the Eagles have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Holden Austin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eli Stroud, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Casey Greene also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Lincolnton scored first but ultimately less than West Lincoln in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 7-6. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Lincolnton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karson Cloninger, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Pinnacle Classical Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Lincolnton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pinnacle Classical Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lincolnton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
