It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Seymour can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Providence Pioneers on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Owls in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost nine in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Seymour lost, don't look at Jamie Bobb. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and one assist. Bobb has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Seymour now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Providence, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season.
