Softball Recap: Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Takes a Loss

Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] and Blue Ridge pushed the score to 14-10 the last time they played Blue Ridge, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Titans fell 3-0 to the Knights. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Shaylun Christenberry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keisha Budd, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] and nudges their season record down to 3-11. As for Blue Ridge, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-7.
