Basketball Game Preview: Summit Christian Academy Falcons vs. Mountain Mission Challengers

The Summit Christian Academy Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Mountain Mission Challengers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Summit Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.9 points per game this season.

Summit Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bailee Martin, who went 9-for-17 en route to 24 points and six boards, and Ella Botts, who posted 15 points along with seven steals and five assists. Botts' evening made it 21 games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Tufts, who scored two points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Mountain Mission strolled past Betsy Layne with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Challengers.

Summit Christian Academy better keep an eye on Annah Chacha. She was instrumental in Mountain Mission's win, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 15 boards. Chacha is also crushing it when it comes to shooting accuracy: she's posted at least 0.55 every time she's taken the court this season. Ella Rasnake was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Summit Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Mountain Mission, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Summit Christian Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 23.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Mountain Mission struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Chacha, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
