Softball Recap: Onalaska Comes Up Short

Onalaska was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Napavine Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-7 back in March.

Onalaska's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Napavine, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Onalaska is set to challenge their familiar foe Morton/White Pass at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Napavine will take on rival Adna at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
