Basketball Recap: Clarkston Wins Going Away Against Deer Park

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Clarkston's strategy against Deer Park on Friday. The Clarkston Bantams strolled past the Deer Park Stags with points to spare, taking the game 43-26. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-43 back in January.

Clarkston is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points over those games. As for Deer Park, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Clarkston and Deer Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Clarkston will face off against West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th down 101 places (145 vs. 44). Meanwhile, Deer Park (ranked 318th) will meet North Central (ranked 79th) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
