Baseball Recap: Aubrey Rogers Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Aubrey Rogers won against Cape Coral last Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Patriots walked away with an 11-6 win over the Evangelical Christian Sentinels. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 7-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Harry Lyons made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Aubrey Rogers got a massive performance out of Tristan DeGenova, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave DeGenova a new career-high. Kyle Nolasco was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
