Basketball Recap: Albany Takes a Loss

If Albany was riding high fresh off their 42-14 takedown of DeKalb last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Albany Warriors fell just short of the Stanberry Bulldogs by a score of 43-41 on Friday. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 43-39.

Albany has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Stanberry, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albany has already played their next matchup (against North Harrison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Stanberry will take on Princeton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Princeton will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Stanberry surely won't give up without a fight.
