Preview: Jeannette Jayhawks vs. Riverview Raiders
Jeannette is 9-0 against Riverview since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Jeannette Jayhawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Riverview Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Springdale typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Jeannette proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 63-50 win over the Dynamos.
Jeannette's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Markus McGowan, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Sunder, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Riverview had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Leechburg 64-27 at home.
Jeannette's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Riverview, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.
Everything came up roses for Jeannette against Riverview in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 72-39 win. Will Jeannette repeat their success, or does Riverview have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
