Basketball Game Preview: Houghton Gremlins vs. Marquette Redmen

Houghton is 0-10 against Marquette since March of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Houghton Gremlins will host the Marquette Redmen at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Houghton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.

Last Friday, Houghton humbled Hancock with a 61-21 victory. The Gremlins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Marquette came tearing into Saturday's game with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Technicians 76-59.

Marquette's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Houghton, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.
