Baseball Recap: Stone Memorial Comes Up Short

Stone Memorial lost against Upperman last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Stone Memorial Panthers took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Upperman Bees. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kyle Hinch was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Stone Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Upperman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stone Memorial will head out to challenge Cumberland County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Upperman, they will head out on the road to take on Beech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Beech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
