Recap: Desert Christian Eagles vs. Santa Rita Eagles
The Desert Christian Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 37-8 victory over Santa Rita. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-3.
Desert Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anika Mulkey out in front who scored 8 points. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Farius, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Santa Rita still got an impressive performance from Jayla Brabham, who scored 8 points. Brabham scored a full 100% of Santa Rita's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Desert Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Santa Rita, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Desert Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Tonopah Valley at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Tonopah Valley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Santa Rita, they will face off against Camp Verde at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
