Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glencoe). They put the hurt on the Indian Springs Student with a sharp 17-2 victory on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Yellowjackets as it put an end to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Glencoe's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Indian Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

Glencoe and Indian Springs could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Glencoe (ranked 356th) will meet North Sand Mountain (ranked 121st) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Glencoe is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. Meanwhile, Indian Springs will challenge Oak Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday down 269 places (287 vs. 18). Glencoe has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
