Volleyball Recap: Dracut Takes a Loss

Dracut lost against Central Catholic back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Middies came up short against the Raiders, falling 3-0.

Leila Amiepouopouo paced Dracut's offense, picking up seven kills. Amiepouopouo got some help from Kelsey Hudon and her 14 assists. Amiepouopouo also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Cassidy Saindon, racking up three apiece.

Central Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Blanchet, who had four digs and four aces. Blanchet has been hot for a while, having also posted 20 or more assists the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Faria, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Dracut's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Central Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Dracut will welcome Chelmsford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central Catholic, they will head out to square off against North Andover at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
