Marshall fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Harper Creek on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 4-2. The Redhawks' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Marshall saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Fuller, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Harper Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.
