Recap: Jonesboro Cardinals vs. Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Jonesboro Cardinals can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Thomas County Central on Friday, falling 56-6. Jonesboro's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the defeat, Jonesboro saw an underclassman step up: Jontavius Wyman picked up 139 receiving yards and a touchdown. Wyman 's longest reception was for an incredible 87 yards.
Jonesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Thomas County Central, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Jonesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thomas County Central will square off against Rome at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rome is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
