Volleyball Recap: Christian Brothers Takes a Loss

After flying high against Chaminade on Thursday, Christian Brothers came back down to earth. The Cadets came up short against the Mehlville Panthers on Monday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cadets have suffered against the Panthers since April 14, 2021.

Christian Brothers took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-22.

Mehlville found their leader in freshman Grant Drikow, who had 17 assists and five digs.

Christian Brothers' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-15-1. As for Mehlville, they moved to 21-14 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Christian Brothers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Vianney on the 6th. As for Mehlville, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Parkway Central on the 7th.
