Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Ohio College Prep Knights vs. Lake Ridge Academy Royals

The Northeast Ohio College Prep Knights will head out to challenge the Lake Ridge Academy Royals at 7:30 p.m. Lake Ridge Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Northeast Ohio College Prep, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with 14 losses in a row dating back to last season, Northeast Ohio College Prep turned things around against Christian Community on Thursday. They secured a 64-60 W over the Warriors. The Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Lake Ridge Academy had to suffer through a 77-41 loss at the hands of Lawrence Upper. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Royals have suffered against the Lions since January 29, 2019.

Northeast Ohio College Prep's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Lake Ridge Academy, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Northeast Ohio College Prep came up short against Lake Ridge Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, falling 51-44. Can Northeast Ohio College Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
