Volleyball Recap: Hobgood Charter Takes a Loss

If Hobgood Charter was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mattamuskeet on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Manteo Redskins on Friday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Redskins recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-13, 25-13.

Easton Alexander was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 12 digs.

Hobgood Charter now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Manteo, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hobgood Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Cape Hatteras on the 17th. As for Manteo, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Gates County on the 16th.
