Volleyball Recap: Spring Woods Beats Aldine for Their Third Straight Win

Spring Woods waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Aldine Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on Tuesday.

Spring Woods not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Aldine between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17.

Madelyn Rubio paced Spring Woods' offense, picking up seven kills. Rubio were helped by Clarissa Loebl and Adriana Castro, who contributed eight assists each. Loebl was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Spring Woods' record now sits at 3-0. As for Aldine, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Spring Woods wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Texas City on the 21st. Aldine has also already played their next match (against La Marque), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
