Recap: American History Bald Eagles vs. Academy Charter
After a string of five wins, the American History Bald Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to Academy Charter. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
American History lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ihjamir Williams, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabaree Christopher, who scored 12 points.
American History's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Academy Charter, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American History will challenge Montclair Kimberley Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Academy Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Noor-Ul-Iman at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
