Eastern Christian HomeSchool's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Pamlico Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Thursday, Eastern Christian HomeSchool earned a 6-2 victory over Ahoskie Christian. The win continues a trend for the Trailblazers in their matchups with Ahoskie Christian: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Pamlico Christian Academy made easy work of Faith Christian Academy on Monday and carried off a 10-4 victory. That looming 10-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mariners yet this season.

Robin Gaskins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Pamlico Christian Academy let Maggie Gaskins and Dannielle Palagyi run wild. Gaskins went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs, while Palagyi scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Palagyi has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaley Tyler, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.

Pamlico Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.

Eastern Christian HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Pamlico Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
