Basketball Recap: Curtis' Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Curtis was the 57-50 winner over Sumner when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Curtis Vikings lost to the Sumner Spartans on the road by a 72-57 margin on Tuesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Curtis' defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10. As for Sumner, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curtis will welcome Puyallup at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Curtis knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Puyallup likes a good challenge. As for Sumner, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Emerald Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Emerald Ridge will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Sumner surely won't give up without a fight.
