Soccer Recap: West Jefferson's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against John Ehret last Tuesday, West Jefferson came back down to earth. The West Jefferson Buccaneers lost 7-0 to the Jesuit Blue Jays on Tuesday. The shutout was out of character for the Buccaneers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

West Jefferson's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5-3. As for Jesuit, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-1-1.

West Jefferson will take on Pineville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jesuit, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Jesuit duke it out with the Chalmette at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jesuit is on a four-game streak of home wins, Chalmette a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
