Basketball Game Preview: North Mustangs vs. North Canyon Rattlers

The North Mustangs will take on the North Canyon Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Wednesday, North was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 39-38 to Carl Hayden Community. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, North Canyon played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Paradise Valley 71-38. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Trojans are ranked 96th).

North Canyon dropped their record down to 6-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for North, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.
