Baseball Recap: Kellogg Find Success

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Kellogg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Galesburg-Augusta Rams, sneaking past 9-7. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Keegan Hill made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Hill was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tucker Tack, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. David Menck was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Kellogg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Kellogg's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Galesburg-Augusta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
