Basketball Game Preview: Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans vs. Neuse Christian Academy Lions

The Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Neuse Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Kerr-Vance Academy is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They were beaten by Henderson Collegiate 70-34 on Monday.

Despite the loss, Kerr-Vance Academy had strong showings from Will Stovall, who posted 11 points and five steals, and LJ Siplan, who put up 18 points and seven rebounds. Stovall has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Meanwhile, Neuse Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 51-45 to Southside Christian.

Kerr-Vance Academy strolled past Neuse Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 43-27. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
