Flag Football Game Preview: LaFayette Ramblers vs. Fannin County Rebels + Official Tickets

LaFayette is 0-4 against Fannin County since October of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Ramblers will take on the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

LaFayette is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Ringgold by a score of 25-12 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ramblers.

A big part of LaFayette's win came down to the chemistry between Prezleigh Baty and her top target Lexi Underwood. Baty threw for 125 yards and three TDs while Underwood picked up 80 receiving yards and three scores. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Underwood a new career-high. Emma Brown got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

LaFayette didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brown, Alexa Cannon, and Underwood picked up one apiece. Brown got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Fannin County didn't have too much trouble with Ringgold on Thursday as they won 28-13. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Tigers are ranked 248th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

LaFayette's record is now 3-4. As for Fannin County, their record now sits at 6-2.

Things could have been worse for LaFayette, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 19-0 loss to Fannin County in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Ramblers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
