Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Takes a Loss

St. Edward was the 2-0 winner over Larkin when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Green Wave fell 2-0 to the Royals on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21.

St. Edward's offense was headlined by Ben Aguirre and Aidan Williams, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Cayden Arboleda and his three assists.

St. Edward's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Larkin, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Edward will venture away from home to face off against West Chicago at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Larkin, they will head out to challenge Round Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Royals are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
