San Dimas' last matchup with Los Altos could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Saints came up short against the Conquerors, falling 12-2. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Dons a 9-0 shutout. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Not much got past Alyssa Garcia, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Sierra Vista off the board. Garcia has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Valeria Hinajosa was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Kiley Peinado also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Duarte pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for San Dimas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11-1 record this season.

Both San Dimas and Duarte just can't seem to miss. The Saints have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Duarte struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits.
